Air Charters with Simpson Safaris

We operate a Cessna 182 which has 3 passenger seats. This is an ideal aircraft for Kenya bush flying. It has a high wing so all passengers get a good view of the ground. It has
a very good short field take off and landing capability, and can fly very slowly so is an ideal plane for aerial filming and photography.

We do point to point charters, and we specialise in specific needs such as, flying film crews for aerial filming, aerial surveys, game counts, medivacs, aid projects and many others.

In the last 15 years we have flown amongst others:

  • The BBC wildlife teams in the production of The Great Rift Valley Series, Wild Africa, The Firebirds.
  • The National Geographic for their Early Man articles.
  • Dutch Aid in a drought monitoring project in Northern Kenya.
  • Game counts for private ranches and the Kenya Wildlife Services.
  • Tea cuttings to Western Uganda to re establish tea estates.
  • Earthwatch on their Surveys of the Rift Lakes.
  • Survival, Anglia, Free Spirit Productions for "The Year Of The Chimpanzees" on Lake Tanganyika
  • Block Hotels management and technicians to visit their hotels countrywide

Charter Rates are US $ 280 per hour for filming and surveying
or US $ 2.00 per nautical mile for point to point flying
